Speeding though time

sitting side by side

in a car, face forward

breathing in shared air

Brain-waves mixing

alchemy of thoughts

exhaling

mute ideas spiraling like

smoke around

the other’s head not

entering their consciousness.

Sitting separate yet

together as time travelors

moving forward in

silence 
moments 
lost.
